Using Meditation and EFT/Matrix Reimprinting to help you remove the anxiety drain so you can make choices and have freedom to focus on who you really are.

Do you feel restless or worried?

Are you having trouble concentrating or sleeping?

Have you ever experienced dizziness or heart palpitations?

Do you feel tired and worn out from the minute you wake up in the morning?

Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some time of their life – sitting an exam, taking a driving test or a job interview.

During times like these, feeling anxious is perfectly normal.

For some of us worrying becomes the norm.  Feelings of anxiety are more constant and often affect your daily life.

This is referred to by the NHS as generalised anxiety disorder (GAD).

“GAD is a long-term condition that causes you to feel anxious about a wide range of situations and issues, rather than one specific event.

People with GAD feel anxious most days and often struggle to remember the last time they felt relaxed.

As soon as one anxious thought is resolved, another may appear about a different issue.”

This is where a combination of Meditation and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) has helped me to turn my life around and got me to where I am today and I would like to share this with you.

Learning to focus on the breath is a great way to bring your awareness back into your body, bring your awareness into the here and now and helps you to press pause for a moment.

This is where the meditation comes in.

The first time I did meditation I tried too hard to control my thoughts and I remember thinking “I can’t do this, I don’t know how”.  What I realised was that I was trying too hard and needed to learn how to relax into it and not hold onto my thoughts with such vigour and for this I would need some guidance from someone with experience.

Then came learning how to breathe!  Well we all breathe, but I delved into meditation and mindfulness books and learnt the correct way to breathe, focusing on your breath, being mindful in my everyday life and discovered a whole new way of thinking.

I have found that guided meditation helped me to relax and focus which is something I would definitely recommend to beginners and for those who find it difficult to switch off their ‘monkey mind’.   It takes away the ‘I don’t know what I am doing’ and I would highly recommend attending a group where you can be guided through the process and learn from sharing your experiences with like-minded people in a safe and nurturing space.

I fell in love with meditation and one of the breakthrough’s for me was the realisation that I was beginning to feel in control of my anxiety.

I began to notice:

  • when I was feeling that tight pain in my chest
  •  when I was feeling those butterflies in my tummy
  •  when I was feeling that constriction in my throat.

I had learned about the chakras, what causes dis-ease, how to meditate and there it was – I knew what I could do to help myself.

This is my message to you:

You can learn to help yourself with a little guidance and support.

I meditate every day and hold meditation circles for others in person and on-line to share the magic of Meditation.  It is a great way to relax, connect to who you really are, to quieten the monkey on your shoulder and take back control.

Having anxiety takes away your control and you start to ask questions like:

Who am I to take control of my life?

I am different to everyone else so that must be the problem.

If I had what they have I would be OK.

If everything was perfect then it would be OK.

If I had done better, if I hadn’t made mistakes, then I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Now this statement can be read one of two ways:

If I had done better, if I hadn’t made mistakes, then I wouldn’t be where I am today – unhappy, coping with loss, emotionally damaged not in control … and so the list goes on.

If I had done better, if I hadn’t made mistakes, then I wouldn’t be where I am today.  All of those experiences that I have been through have made me the person that I am today and I have learned so much and gained so much experience.

This is where the EFT/Matrix Reimprinting comes in.

There comes a point at which we need to be doing the work:

  • the healing
  •  changing negative beliefs into positive ones
  •  changing negative patterns of behaviour and thinking into positive experiences
  •  to be looking to the future with the bright eyes, the enthusiasm, the excitement that we had when were children.

The biggest lesson as I look back from where I am now is:

Understanding that the way I think influences my life.

We need to look back at where we have come from, we need to look at where we are holding onto old traumas, old beliefs, old patterns and ways of thinking and behaving, but it is also important not to dwell here. This is where the EFT and Matrix Reimprinting has helped me most.

Training to be an EFT and Matrix Reimprinting practitioner opened my eyes to how we can all help ourselves to change those negative beliefs we formed as young children, up to the age of 7.  By using the technique of tapping – it’s like acupuncture without the needles – you can release the energy associated with those emotional blocks and negative beliefs that you have been holding onto for so long.

You can use tapping at any time of the day, as many times as you like to simply tap on emotions of feeling nervous, anxious or worried.  Or if you would like to delve in a little deeper and transform those negative core beliefs into positive ones , you will need the guidance of a qualified practitioner to lead you along the path.

So my question to you is this:

Are you free to be whatever you want to be?

If the answer is no and you would like to know more about how I can help you to walk your path, then please get in touch, I would love to talk to you about what I do.
